- For Formulators & Manufacturers As a 98% Technical Grade concentration, this product must be formulated before broad field application. Solubility: NAA 98% TC is soluble in ethanol or acetone, but poorly soluble in water. For direct water solubility, manufacturers prefer Sodium 1-naphthaleneacetate (NAA-Na) to formulate commercial rooting powders or liquid concentrates. Formulation Note: NAA is highly stable under light and heat. Maintain a neutral to slightly alkaline pH if using the sodium salt form (NAA-Na) to ensure complete water solubility and prevent precipitation. Synergistic Blends: Universally co-formulated with IAA or IBA (typically 1:1 or 2:1 ratios) to create premium commercial rooting products.
- Reference Field Application Rates For standard foliar spraying, the general field application dosage ranges from 5 to 20 mg/L (ppm), depending on the specific crop and growth stage. For Rooting & Cutting: Soak the basal end of cuttings in a 10 to 50 mg/L solution for 2 to 12 hours, or use a quick-dip at 500 to 1000 mg/L for 5 seconds. To Prevent Fruit Drop: Spray fruit trees (such as apples or citrus) at 10 to 20 mg/L approximately 14 to 21 days before harvest to significantly reduce pre-harvest fruit drop. For Fruit Thinning: Apply a 5 to 15 mg/L foliar spray 1 to 2 weeks post-bloom to eliminate excess fruitlets and improve overall harvest quality. To Ensure Optimal Efficiency: Spray evenly over the target areas; avoid overlapping sprays as excess concentration can reverse the effect and cause unintended fruit thinning or leaf curling.
