Naphthoxyacetic acid
Also known as: BNOA, 2-Naphthoxyacetic Acid
Naphthoxyacetic acid (BNOA) is a highly effective auxin-type plant growth regulator. Its key advantages lie in its ability to significantly increase fruit set and promote fruit enlargement, effectively preventing blossom and fruit drop. Additionally, it excels at inducing the development of seedless fruit and stimulating root growth, making it a powerful tool for enhancing the yield and quality of fruits and vegetables.

Key benefits
- Outstanding Fruit Setting & Prevention of Abscission BNOA acts as a powerful auxin-mimic regulator that effectively stimulates fruit set and prevents the premature drop of flowers and fruits. It ensures a higher harvest density, especially under adverse weather conditions.
- Stimulates Rapid Fruit Enlargement By accelerating cell division and elongation, BNOA promotes uniform fruit expansion and development. It is highly valued by global formulators for boosting the sizing of high-value crops like berries, citrus, and fruiting vegetables.
- Induction of Parthenocarpy / Seedless Fruit It effectively induces parthenocarpy in specific crops (such as tomatoes and grapes), enabling the production of premium-quality, seedless fruits that command higher prices in commercial markets.
- Synergistic Flexibility for Formulators As a highly stable active ingredient, our BNOA is refined to offer exceptional solubility and compatibility. It serves as an ideal tank-mix or co-formulation partner with other plant growth regulators, biostimulants, or fertilizers.
Suggested dosage & application
- For Formulators & Manufacturers As a 98% High-Purity Technical Grade material, this product must be properly formulated before broad field application. Solubility: BNOA 98% TC is insoluble in water but highly soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, or dimethylformamide (DMF). It can be formulated into standard commercial products like AS (Aqueous Solution), SP (Soluble Powder), or EC (Emulsifiable Concentrate). Formulation Note: Ensure complete dissolution of the technical material in the organic phase before introducing surfactants or carriers to prevent precipitation in the final end-product.
- Reference Field Application Rates For standard foliar spraying, the general field application dosage ranges from 20 to 100 g of active ingredient per hectare (g a.i./ha), depending on the crop growth stage and target physiological response. To achieve the best results in fruit-setting and enlargement, the formulated solution should be directed precisely at the flower clusters or young fruits, avoiding over-application under extreme high-temperature conditions.
